The Lávka Club by Charles Bridge is one of the longest-running businesses of its
kind in Prague. Theatrical performances, concerts, corporate parties, weddings,
private celebrations , and various cultural and social events are held here regularly.
Lávka also has its own marina where you can rent a pedal boat or order a boat ride.
The original premises of the Lávka Club used to be a mill where the famous Czech
composer Josef Mysliveček, also known as “Il divino Boemo” (the Divine Czech),
was allegedly born. The reconstruction of the concert hall was completed in 1990
with the second part (the club itself) following in 1992, including the garden.
The club was first opened with the ceremonial release of Karel Gott’s platinum LP.
The former Czech president Václav Havel used to enjoy his favourite beef stew here.
The complete construction and reconstruction of the club was realised by a company
that still operates on the premises today.
